TECOS CELEBRATES 30 YEARS OF INNOVATION WITH GROUNDBREAKING DEVELOPMENTS

TECOS Toolmaking Development Centre of Slovenia marked its 30th anniversary with a special Toolmaking Day event, uniting founders, partners, industry leaders, and customers to celebrate decades of innovation. The event also featured the unveiling of Slovenia's first fully automated pilot line for producing plastic products with 3D-printed tools, a revolutionary milestone in the country's manufacturing sector.

From humble beginnings with just one employee, TECOS has transformed into a leading technological hub integrated across various manufacturing industries. Today, with 22 employees and a thriving portfolio of European projects, the center continues to drive innovation by optimizing toolmaking systems and materials for efficient production. "We pride ourselves on contributing to Europe's most significant projects while expanding our resources and capabilities," stated TECOS CEO, Dr. Aleš Hančič.


Innovation and Collaboration at the Forefront
The newly inaugurated pilot line, developed under the I3 3DOP project, exemplifies TECOS' commitment to advancing high-value technologies. Partnerships with major companies like Gorenje Hisense, BSH, and Adria Mobil underscore TECOS' strength in connecting research, innovation, and industry to foster sustainable development.

Panel discussions on the "Factories of the Future" emphasized the stability of the economic environment and the need for strategic planning. Experts highlighted opportunities in regional development, European self-sufficiency, and the green transition as key areas for growth, underscoring the role of innovation and targeted policies.


A Platform for Networking and Progress
The event welcomed over 120 participants to Celje Fairground, offering a valuable platform for networking and cross-sector collaboration. TECOS remains at the forefront of shaping Slovenia's toolmaking sector, contributing significantly to European manufacturing excellence and sustainability.
