Throughout the years, the International Conference on Industrial Tools and Advanced Processing Technologies (ICIT&APT) has developed into a unique event, attracting researchers from the respected fields of toolmaking, material processing and production technologies, together with experts in all supporting activities that are essential for a successful operation of a tool shop, a research laboratory or a technology transfer centre.
This year the conference will focus on most recent advances in the production technologies that are currently being incorporated in the industry - where 4th industrially revolution is transforming current production plants to the next level: INDUSTRY 4.0 - the Factories of the Future.
The conference has attracted a number of world-class keynote speakers as dr. Russell Speight from Australia, prof. dr. José L. Ocaña from Spain, prof. dr. Univ.-Prof. Dr. Friedrich Bleicher from Austria, prof. dr.-ing. habil. Rolf Zenker and prof. Nooman Ben Khalifa from Germany, dr. Mario Rosso from Italy, among others.
Objectives of the conference are multifaceted:
- To gather foreign and domestic scientists, researchers, specialists and experts with the aim to exchange knowledge, experiences, topical information and view on future directions of the development,
- The presentation of the Slovenian competences to foreign participants,
- To present opportunities for formal and informal connections with an intension to gain more complex projects,
- To provide matchmaking between experts with similar interests in the frame of B2B-event.
