VDWF AND CBM LAUNCH NEW INDUSTRY MAGAZINES

The global tooling community now has additional resources to stay informed about the latest trends and developments. Both the VDWF (Association of German Tool and Mould Makers) and the CBM (Confederation of British Metalforming) have recently launched new magazines, designed to provide valuable insights and updates tailored to their respective industries.

One featured article in Metal Matters, the CBM's newest publication, poses the question: Is the UK Forging Industry ready for growth after decades of decline? The piece examines a potentially transformative period for the sector, which has faced long-term challenges.

Meanwhile, the latest issue of the VDWF magazine focuses on sustainability, showcasing advancements in recycling processes for expanded polypropylene (EPP) materials. It highlights the achievements of the "ReEPP" project, led by the Kunststoff-Institut Lüdenscheid (KIMW), which has developed an innovative method to manufacture expanded components using recycled EPP waste.

Both publications promise to be valuable resources for industry stakeholders, fostering knowledge exchange and collaboration. ISTMA encourages all members and affiliates to explore these magazines to benefit from the wealth of information they offer.
