TASA AND CEFAMOL TOGETHER IN SOUTH AFRICA

On 3 and 4 April, CEFAMOL (Portuguese Mouldmaking Association) delegation visiting South Africa were hosted by TASA (Tooling Association of South Africa) and the National Tooling Initiative Programme (NTIP) at their National Office in Centurion, while visiting some local businesses in the manufacturing industry.

The Portuguese guests were treated to typical South African hospitality at the NTIP's offices and valuable contacts and relationships were formed during a special networking event which included local stakeholders from the manufacturing industry. Presentations about the latest developments on the Portuguese Industry and the training program developed in South Africa by NTIP were introduced to attendees.

CEFAMOL also exhibited at the National Association of Automotive Component and Allied Manufacturers of South Africa (NAACAM) exhibition at the ICC Durban from 5-7 April 2017. The NTIP's Enterprise Development (ED) Division and OJT division also participated in the exhibition.

"The NAACAM event provided us with new insights into the automotive industry developments, the synergies between the local and international markets as well as opportunities for progress in our local industry," says Je'Maine James, Project Manager, NTIP Enterprise Development.

In accordance with Manuel Oliveira – CEFAMOL's Secretary General – this collaboration between TASA, NTIP and the Portuguese Association reveals some of the most important outcomes of ISTMA – networking, cooperation activities and sharing of information among member countries.
